    Life in Mirdif

    Living here

Mirdif feels like a suburb rather than a city district: mostly villas and low-rise apartment blocks, a mosque within reach of most streets and children cycling once the heat drops. Our nine homes here are one- and two-bedroom apartments. Parts of the area lie under the DXB flight path, so some streets hear aircraft at certain times of day.

    Eating & going out

City Centre Mirdif is the main draw, with hundreds of shops, a cinema and the iFly indoor skydiving tunnel. Uptown Mirdif is a smaller centre with a Spinneys supermarket, a food court and cafés. Mushrif Park, beside the community, adds shaded lawns, mountain-bike trails and Aventura Parks, a tree-top adventure course among the ghaf trees.

    Getting around

The airport is about ten minutes by car, which makes Mirdif practical for early departures. The nearest metro station, Centrepoint on the Red Line, is a short taxi ride away, and Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road connects the area with the rest of the city. Within Mirdif itself, a car or taxi is the usual way to get about.

    Don’t miss in Mirdif

    • Try indoor skydiving at iFly in City Centre Mirdif
    • Ride the mountain-bike trails in Mushrif Park
    • Take on the tree-top course at Aventura Parks
    • Head to the Deira souks, about 20 minutes away
