    Apartment blocks, schools and neighbourhood parks set the tone, and Al Qusais Pond Park, with its lake and jogging track, is the local landmark. Our nine apartments are spread across Al Qusais, Muhaisnah and Al Twar, all residential areas where supermarkets, pharmacies and laundries are rarely more than a short walk away. It is a practical, unshowy part of the city.

    Eating & going out

    Al Qusais and neighbouring Al Nahda are known for unpretentious South Asian and Arab restaurants, from biryani houses to charcoal grills, many of them open late. Sahara Centre, just across the Sharjah border, covers shopping and family entertainment, while the Deira souks and the creek are about 20 minutes away for an evening walk.

    Getting around

    The Green Line stops at Al Qusais, Dubai Airport Free Zone and Al Nahda, linking the area with Deira and Bur Dubai and with the Red Line at Union. DXB is about ten minutes by car. The roads towards Sharjah are among the busiest in the city at rush hour, so allow extra time in the morning and early evening.
