Crypto payment terms
In short
- Prices and your balance are in US dollars.
- USDT (TRC-20 or ERC-20), BTC and ETH only.
- The crypto amount is locked while you pay.
- Blockchain transactions cannot be reversed.
Pricing currency
Every price on DubaiCrypt, and your DubaiCrypt balance, is denominated in US dollars (USD). Crypto-assets are accepted solely as a means of paying the booking total at checkout, converted from the USD amount at the rate quoted by our payment system.
Accepted assets and networks
Tether (USDT) on Tron (TRC-20) or Ethereum (ERC-20); Bitcoin (BTC); and Ether (ETH) on Ethereum mainnet. No other assets or networks are accepted. Payments sent on any other network or in any other asset may not be recoverable, and recovery, if possible, may involve fees.
Paying at checkout
You pay the exact booking total in crypto directly at checkout, on the “Confirm and pay” page. After you choose a coin and network, the payment screen shows the amount due in crypto, the payment address and a QR code. Only send the payment to that address, on the network you selected.
Rate lock
When you start a payment, the crypto amount due is fixed and locked while you pay, for the time shown by the countdown on the payment screen. If the countdown ends before you send the payment, start a new payment at the then-current rate. A payment already on its way when the countdown ends is still detected while the payment screen shows that the address is being watched, and it confirms your booking.
Underpayments and overpayments
If you send less than the amount due, the payment screen shows the remaining amount, which you send to the same address to complete the payment. A booking is confirmed only once the full amount has been received. If you send more than the amount due, contact our concierge with the payment reference and the transaction hash.
Confirmations
A payment is confirmed once it reaches the number of blockchain confirmations required for its network (for example, 2 for Bitcoin and around 20 blocks for Tron).
Dates held and booking confirmation
The booking’s dates are held during the payment, and the booking is confirmed automatically as soon as the payment is confirmed on the blockchain. If no payment arrives while the dates are held, they are released.
Your balance
Refunds due under the cancellation policy are credited instantly to your DubaiCrypt balance in US dollars. The balance can be used to pay for a booking at checkout, and unused balance can be paid back in crypto on request through our concierge, to an address you provide; please check that the address is on the network you asked for. The balance is personal and cannot be transferred.
No exchange, custody or investment services
Your balance is kept in US dollars, not in crypto-assets. DubaiCrypt does not buy, sell, exchange, hold or safekeep crypto-assets on your behalf, and provides no investment advice. The value of crypto-assets can vary significantly.
Compliance
For legal and anti-money-laundering reasons, we or the provider of our payment system may ask for identity information, refuse payments from sanctioned persons or jurisdictions, and refuse payments linked to illicit activity. Blockchain transactions are irreversible; no chargeback is possible.
Phishing
We never send payment addresses by message, social media or phone. Only pay to the address shown on the payment screen in your DubaiCrypt account on dubaicrypt.com.
