Sleeping two, this studio at Seven Palm keeps things simple: a comfortable bed, a TV, Wi-Fi, air conditioning and a kitchen for breakfasts and easy dinners in.

Most of the appeal lies in the building. The infinity pool on the roof looks out across the Dubai skyline, sun loungers and umbrellas on the private beach cost nothing, and the gym is open to residents. Reception is staffed around the clock and parking is free. Restaurants, cafés, shops, beach clubs and West Beach itself are all close by, along with many of the city’s best-known sights.
