Where is Madinat Jumeirah?

Madinat Jumeirah is a resort complex on Dubai’s coast in Umm Suqeim, overlooking Burj Al Arab; its official address is King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud Street. Dubai’s coastline runs roughly from north-east to south-west, so the venue sits between the low-rise Jumeirah neighbourhoods on one side and the Palm, Dubai Harbour, Dubai Marina and JBR on the other, with Al Barsha and Mall of the Emirates inland, across Sheikh Zayed Road.

That means you do not need to stay in the city centre for TOKEN2049. The coastal areas around the venue are also where most of Dubai’s beachfront holiday homes are, which helps when the conference days end and the side events begin.

Jumeirah: low-rise and by the sea

Holiday homes in Jumeirah suit attendees who want quiet evenings and a short hop to both the venue and Downtown, which is about 10 minutes away. There are 22 homes, from $113 a night, and 13 have beach access. Most are one-bedroom homes, which makes Jumeirah a good choice for couples or solo travellers rather than large teams.

Al Barsha: the value pick by Mall of the Emirates

Al Barsha is the budget option inland from the venue, with studios and one-bedroom homes from $60 a night and a median of $86. Its main draw is the Mall of the Emirates station on the metro Red Line, which helps if you also have meetings elsewhere in the city. Inventory is small, with nine homes, so book early.

Palm Jumeirah: villas for teams

For companies and groups, Palm Jumeirah has the widest choice of large homes: 42 of the 114 homes listed are villas, 20 have a private pool and almost all have beach access. The median is $707 a night; for a group, one villa can replace several separate rooms. If you plan to host guests, note that parties and events in Dubai holiday homes are generally not allowed without written approval.

Dubai Harbour and Bluewaters: beachfront towers

Dubai Harbour sits between the Palm and the Marina, with 27 homes from $152 a night and a residents’ beach. Bluewaters, the island by the observation wheel, has nine two-bedroom homes from $502 a night, a 10-minute walk from JBR. Both are calm beachfront bases a little further from the venue than Jumeirah or Al Barsha.

Dubai Marina and JBR: the liveliest base

Dubai Marina has 90 homes from $82 a night, with the metro and tram on site and the beach a five-minute walk away. Next door, JBR has 61 homes, most of them with direct beach access and tram stops at JBR 1 and 2. Both are lively in the evening, with promenade dining in the Marina and The Walk at JBR.

What about Downtown or Business Bay?

If you have meetings in the financial district during the week, Downtown Dubai (158 homes) and Business Bay (135 homes, from $72 a night) are closer to the airport, about 20 minutes away, but further from Madinat Jumeirah. For a two-day conference on the coast, a coastal base is usually more practical.

Book early

TOKEN2049 brings more than 15,000 attendees to a single venue over two days, plus hundreds of side events, according to the organiser. Each holiday home is a single unit: once it is booked for your dates, it is gone. A few practical points:

  • Book early. Booking on DubaiCrypt is instant: once your payment is confirmed on the blockchain, the home is confirmed for your dates.
  • Know the cancellation policy before you pay: a full refund to your DubaiCrypt balance up to 7 days before check-in, and 50% up to 48 hours before. Our page on cancellation options explains how it works.
  • Travelling as a team? A large home or villa keeps a group together, and it is often easier to coordinate than several hotel rooms.
  • Arriving for side events before 21 April? Book from the first event you plan to attend, not from the conference start.
  • Staying on for a holiday? Many homes also suit longer stays, including monthly stays.

Paying for your stay in crypto

All DubaiCrypt prices are set in US dollars. Choose your dates and select Reserve; on the “Confirm and pay” page, log in or create your DubaiCrypt account, then choose your cryptocurrency and pay the exact total directly at checkout: USDT on Tron (TRC-20) or Ethereum (ERC-20), BTC or ETH. The payment screen shows the amount, the address and a QR code; the crypto amount is calculated at the live rate and locked while you pay, and your dates are held during the payment.

USDT on TRC-20 usually confirms in about a minute, ETH in one to three minutes and BTC in 10 to 30 minutes. The booking is confirmed instantly as soon as the payment is confirmed on the blockchain, with a voucher and a receipt in US dollars in your account, which is convenient if you are claiming the stay as a business expense. If you send less than the total, the payment screen shows the remaining amount to send to the same address; for an overpayment, contact the concierge with your payment reference. Refunds after a cancellation go instantly to your DubaiCrypt balance, in US dollars: you can use it to pay a future booking at checkout, and unused balance can be paid back in crypto on request. The concierge team is available 24/7. The full flow is explained on how crypto payment works.

Good to know

Paying from a company or multi-signature wallet? The crypto amount is only locked for the countdown shown on the payment screen, and a multi-signature approval can take longer than that. Have your co-signers ready before you start the payment, or contact the concierge before you book.

Getting to Madinat Jumeirah

From the coastal areas, a taxi or ride-hailing app is the most direct way to reach the venue; allow extra time at the start and end of each day, when thousands of attendees arrive and leave at once. Public transport covers part of the way from some areas: Dubai Marina has the metro and the tram, JBR has tram stops, Al Barsha is on the metro Red Line at Mall of the Emirates, and the Palm has a monorail along its trunk. Our guide to getting around Dubai covers the metro, the Nol card, taxis and apps.

If you prefer to drive, for example to move between side events, DubaiCrypt lists 1,220 rental cars from $17 a day, paid in crypto at checkout just like your home, with no deposit. Check the venue’s parking arrangements with the organiser before you set off.
